Winter Fun!

Winter has arrived in southern Ohio. The temperatures have dropped and we definitely need our winter jackets and gloves now! But with the cold weather comes the opportunity to enjoy a fun winter past time, ice skating!

Our Stampendous theme of "Snow Wonderful" this week, immediately made me think of this fun card I made for our catalog. It's quick and easy to make and perfect for winter birthdays!

Supplies:

Stampendous:
GL220U Crystal Glitter

Dreamweaver:
DWDGWP Glossy White Embossing Paste
DWDPK Dreamweaver Palette Knife
DWLM2010 Paste Spreader

Plus:
My Color Cardstock - Spearmint
Graphic 45 Yuletide Greetings 4501188
Copic Marker BG72
Removable Tape
Creative Impressions 1/4" Lt Silver Gray Glimmer Ribbon 70267
Beacon Adhesives FabriTac
Foam Tape

Instructions:
Step 1:  Fold a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Spearmint cardstock in half to form a top fold A2 card
Step 2: Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of the Graphic 45 paper, edge with BG72, adhere to the card front
Step 3:  Tape the Skates stencil to a 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" piece of the Graphic 45 paper with removable tape
Step 4:  Use a palette knife and paste spreader to apply Glossy White Embossing Paste over the design, remove stencil and place in water for cleaning later, sprinkle the wet paste with Crystal Glitter, tap off extra, let paste dry
Step 5: When the paste is dry, use the BG72 marker to edge the Skates piece, then adhere to a 3" x 4" mat of Spearmint
Step 6: Use foam tape to add theSkates to the card front, setting them at an angle
Step 7:  Use a FabriTac to attach a piece of silver ribbon near the bottom of the card, tie a small matching bow and use the FabriTac to add the bow
